On the basis of Federal Law 114 “On the Procedure for Exit from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation”, all foreign citizens staying in Russia must obtain a voluntary medical insurance policy (hereinafter referred to as VMI) that meets the minimum requirements of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The cost of this policy at our University is 1700 rubles.
For primary medical examination and outpatient treatment during the first year at the KalmSU sanatorium-dispensary all international students are required to pay 2,100 rubles.
All foreign students arriving in Russia from other cities of the country and abroad have to undergo an initial medical examination at the sanatorium-preventorium. For this reason students are kept in the university isolation ward until the tests are taken.
