On April 26 – 29, 2021, the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages, Intercultural Communication and Regional Studies organized an Olympiad in the Chinese language as part of the Days of Science at the Institute of Kalmyk Philology and Oriental Studies of KalmSU. The Olympiad was held among 1st – 3rd year students of Foreign Philology (Chinese language and literature, English) and Foreign Regional Studies.
The students showed a high level of proficiency in the Chinese language. For each course, the Olympiad was composed of a different level of difficulty. The Olympiad for the 2-nd and 3-rd courses consisted of 2 blocks: listening and reading. The Olympiad for the 1-st course students also included hieroglyphic and lexical-grammatical tests.
